In a city where the lights are forever and a day, the Super Bowl has taken to the skies to cut through the noise. The creative drone show illuminated the skies of Las Vegas an hour after the Kansas City Chiefs secured their victory over the San Francisco 49ers.
Crafted by the team at Sky Elements, this spectacle featured a fleet of 1,000 drones, transforming the landscape of Resorts World into a mesmerising canvas of football-inspired artistry.
The show lit up the sky with NFL helmets, towering 400-foot-tall football players in action, and the iconic ‘Welcome to Las Vegas’ sign came to life in a display of colour and motion, all set against the backdrop of the vibrant Vegas skyline.
The colours blue, white, and red, were used to capture the essence of the American game and the spirit of competition.
The show concluded with a spectacular end zone celebration, complete with a cascade of confetti raining down on the victorious Chiefs.
Preston Ward, Chief Pilot of Sky Elements, stated at the end of the show, “As huge football fans ourselves, we knew we wanted to fly an epic drone show for the Big Game.
“Our Vegas-based drone crew worked diligently through the day to bring this spectacle to life, and we couldn’t be prouder of the result.
“Flying drone shows for sporting events is truly special because sports fans have a unique attachment to the material.”
This display comes on the heels of viewership numbers for this year’s Super Bowl. 123.4 million viewers tuning in on Sunday night, making it the most-watched telecast in history, the Super Bowl continues to captivate audiences around the globe. This year’s game surpassed the previous record set by last year’s Super Bowl, with CBS Sports reporting staggering figures within 24 hours of the Chiefs’ victory.
The popularity surrounding the Super Bowl provides a unique platform that allows for creativity and innovation, as seen in elaborate halftime shows, commercials, and spectacular events like themed drone shows.
