Pride is not about a day, month or moment in time, but being proud of who you are, and being seen, everyday; 365 days a year. Here at MAAKE we know that the diversity of our team is incredibly significant, special and is one of our biggest strengths as an agency. It is something we try to champion each and every day.

Treasury Estate Wines have announced their new three-year partnership with the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras which incorporates the 2022 to 2024 festivals as well as the global pride event Sydney WorldPride 2023 next year, which is expected to be the largest event in Sydney since the 2000 Olympics.

Our team jumped at the opportunity to assist Squealing Pig Wines on their launch at this year’s Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras, working with the team to deliver on-prem and off-prep deliverables.

The team from TWE creatively re-worked the Squealing Pig label with a series of poems to represent members of the LGBTIQ+ community. MAAKE brought these labels to life in stores with complimentary instructional standees and posters to accompany these labels in key liquor stores, free for consumers of Squealing Pig to pick up when they purchased a bottle of the brand in-store (pictured below).

Keeping consistent with the #flywithpride campaign, we took elements of the pride flags and had custom Squealing Pig pride bandanas and temporary tattoos made for distribution at Fair Day. T-shirts and aprons mirroring the branding and messaging were designed and produced for bar staff in partnering on-premise venues around Sydney, and bespoke Mardi Gras glitter heart logo wings were made for the TWE team present at the festival to wear too.

We are proud to work alongside brands like Squealing Pig who have demonstrated their ongoing commitment to the LGBTIQ+ community and are actively working to platform these communities.

Here at MAAKE, we #flywithpride
